Every journey has a beginning.
For Speak & Sparkle, that beginning was one simple idea: to create a place where students could improve their English while gaining the confidence to express themselves without the fear of making mistakes.
Looking back today, it is incredible to see how far we have come.
Throughout this year, we recorded podcasts, published blog posts, organized an English Dubbing Competition, collaborated with the English Debate Club, prepared awareness presentations, held workshops on public speaking and essay writing, and shared meaningful stories through our Wonder project.
However, our greatest achievement was never the number of activities we completed.
It was the confidence we built together.
Every meeting, every recording, every rehearsal, every presentation, and every conversation became part of a journey that helped us grow—not only as English learners but also as individuals.
As the Founder and Project Leader of Speak & Sparkle, I would like to sincerely thank every member of our team for believing in this project and becoming part of its story. Your enthusiasm, creativity, dedication, and willingness to learn made this year truly unforgettable.
I would also like to express my deepest gratitude to our Project Mentor, Meltem Çevik, for her continuous guidance, encouragement, and support throughout this journey. Her belief in our ideas allowed Speak & Sparkle to grow into something much greater than we first imagined.
Finally, thank you to everyone who supported our project—our teachers, our school administration, and every student who attended our presentations, listened to our podcasts, read our blog posts, or simply encouraged us along the way.
Although this academic year has come to an end, Speak & Sparkle’s story is only just beginning.
Next year, we will continue creating new projects, developing new ideas, and reaching even more students. We hope to grow not only as a team but also as a community that inspires others to speak with confidence, think creatively, and use English as a bridge for communication and positive change.
