Day Two: Upper Grade Performances and the Closing of the Festival

The second day of the Speak & Sparkle English Dubbing Festival marked the final day of our two-day event and brought together students from the 9th and 10th grades. Building on the energy of the first day, the program once again began with opening speeches that reminded everyone of the purpose and spirit of the festival.
The day opened with a brief address by the project leader, Esma Dila Eldeymez, followed by remarks from our project mentor, Meltem Çevik. These speeches reflected on the journey of the festival, the students’ dedication, and the importance of creating spaces where language learning meets creativity and confidence.
After the opening segment, the competition continued with performances by 9th and 10th grade students. Just like the preparatory classes on the first day, these students presented their English dubbing performances in front of the jury and audience. Their performances demonstrated advanced language skills, strong stage presence, and a clear sense of expression developed through practice and teamwork.
As this was the final day of the festival, the atmosphere carried both excitement and a sense of accomplishment. The jury evaluated the performances according to the predetermined assessment criteria, and students received feedback that supported both their linguistic and personal development.
With the completion of the performances, the Speak & Sparkle Festival came to an end. The second day not only concluded the competition but also highlighted the success of the project in offering students a memorable stage experience and proving that learning English can be both engaging and inspiring.
