This week, the Speak & Sparkle club met online again — but this time, our focus wasn’t just on voices.
It was on sounds. 🎧✨
🔊 Exploring the World of Sound Effects
We started the session by diving into the art of sound design.
From footsteps on gravel to magical sparkles, we learned how even the smallest sound can bring a scene to life.
We watched a few short videos showing how professionals create sound effects — using everyday objects in the most unexpected ways!
Students were amazed to discover that a coconut shell can sound like a horse, and that crumpled paper can mimic the rustle of fire. 🔥🐴
💬 Ask, Wonder, Learn
After watching the examples, everyone had a chance to ask questions about the parts they found tricky or confusing.
It turned into a fun and curious exchange — a reminder that every question adds another layer of understanding.
Sometimes, learning how sound works helps us understand how stories work, too. 🎙️
🎭 Looking Ahead: A Day to Dub and Dress Up!
Before we ended the meeting, we talked about our next face-to-face session — the day when we’ll finally record our dubbing scenes!
Excited voices filled the chat when someone suggested:
“What if we dress up like the characters we’re dubbing?”
And just like that, the next meeting got a theme — a mix of creativity, confidence, and costume! ✨👗🎩

To close the session, students shared their thoughts about the project so far — what they’ve enjoyed, what they’ve learned, and even what challenged them.
Hearing their reflections was a proud moment.
As a leader, it was inspiring to see how far we’ve come together — from shy voices to confident storytellers.
